What is Survivor?
If you’re aged 18+ and you think you know your Soccer well enough to pick the correct selections over seven rounds, you’ll be the TAB Sportsbet’s EURO 2008 Survivor and pocket a cool $20,000!
The format is pretty simple. Kicking off on Thursday 5th June, we’ll ask between two and five questions on selected EURO 2008 games.
You’ll receive an email letting you know that the round is open for selections. You can enter your selections online and at the conclusion of the round we’ll let you know via email how you’ve fared. The more questions you answer correctly the better you’ll do.
There are three possible results for players to attain at each round:
Immunity – You’ve correctly picked all the questions for the round and you will be automatically advanced 2 rounds. For example if you gain Immunity in round 2 you’ll be automatically advanced to round 4 and will not have to make any selections for round 3.
Proceed – You’ve correctly picked the majority of questions for the round.
> 2 questions – you’ve correctly picked 1.
> 3 questions – you’ve correctly picked 2.
> 4 questions – you’ve correctly picked 3.
> 5 questions – you’ve correctly picked 4.
Eliminated – You haven’t picked any, or only a few correct questions for the round.
> 2 questions – you have not correctly picked any questions.
> 3 questions – you’ve only correctly picked 1 or none.
> 4 questions – you’ve only correctly picked 2, 1 or none.
> 5 questions – you’ve only correctly picked 3,2,1 or none.
It sounds all too easy right? Well if you do have the skill (or luck) to remain in the competition as the weeks go by you'll find we will increase the difficulty of the challenge. Questions will be in the form of betting selections such as:
ResultCorrectly select the winning team at the conclusion of the selected game. Draw is a valid option.
Margin
The goal margin will be within a specified range – or draw – at the conclusion of the selected game.
Correct ScoreThe score at the conclusion of the game will be a specified option.
First Goal ScorerA specified player will score the first goal of the selected game.
Half/Full Time DoubleCorrectly select the team that is leading at half time and at full time. Draw is a valid selection.
Exact GoalsCorrectly select the total number of cumulative goals scored by both teams in the selected game. For example SWI 2 vs. CZE 1 will result in an Exact Goals number of 3.
The sole surviving player at the end of 7 rounds wins $20,000. Also, if you get five friends to successfully register and play EURO 2008 Survivor, and you happen to win the competition, you're up for a bonus $5,000!
PLUS! At the conclusion of each of the first 5 rounds, a random prize of a $200 betting account top-up will be drawn and awarded to one lucky registered player.
